FONDMETAL is the official supplier to the WILLIAMS F1 team, which wins three Formula 1 World Championships

1990-1992

FONDMETAL enters the Formula 1 World Championship with its own team, Fondmetal F1

1993

The cooperation between Gabriele Rumu and the well-known aerodynamicist Jean-Claude Migeot gives birth to the first aerodynamics R&D centre for race cars and wind tunnel testing in Italy

1994-1995

The Tyrrell team entrusts Fondmetal Technologies with the aerodynamic research and development of its race car

1996-1998

The Benetton team entrusts Fondmetal Technologies with the aerodynamic research and development of its race car

1997

FONDMETAL acquires the majority of shares in the Minardi F1 team which, under the guidance of Gabriele Rumi, takes part to the Formula World Championship

1999-2000

FONDMETAL buys from Cosworth the rights, the support of qualified engineers and the facilities to develop the project, build and overhaul the V10 engine, named FONDMETAL V10 and used by the Minardi F1 team during the same seasons

1999-2000

The Minardi team entrusts Fondmetal Technologies with the aerodynamic research and development of its race car

2001-2006

Fondmetal Technologies becomes Renault’s second aerodynamics development team. With Renault, Fondmetal Technologies wins two Formula 1 World Championships (2005 and 2006)

2003-2006

Aerolab, Fondmetal Technologies’ daughter company, becomes Toyota F1’s second aerodynamics development team

2007-2009

Aerolab, Fondmetal Technolgies’ daughter company, is the aerodynamics development team for Spyker F1’s (2007) which becomes Force India F1 in 2008

2010-2012

Aerolab and FondTech join forces to become the only team for the aerodynamics development of the F1 race car of the new Team Lotus (2010-2011), which becomes Caterham F1 in 2012
